At the Baltimore Children’s Business Fair, kids will create a product or service, develop a brand, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at this one-day marketplace. The children are responsible for the setup, sales, and interacting with customers, and any parent seen selling to the customer or promoting the child’s product will result in disqualification from the competition.

Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are focused on developing innovative solutions to pressing problems that can then be commercialized as new products and services or as improvements to existing ones. We have trained and supported companies in the development of SBIR/STTR proposals for different Government agencies. Our SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab combines tailored tutorials, best-in-industry proposal training, mentoring, proposal reviews, and hands-on guidance throughout the process of developing and submitting proposals. The ultimate goal is to improve proposal quality, submissions, and win-rate while building long-term capacity to win government and commercial bids. The SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
